Richard N. Adams, Esq.
Attorney Richard N. Adams, 63 of Ridgefield, died on Monday, August 4, 2008 at his home as a result of injuries sustained from a fall incurred while doing outdoor landscaping work.
Richard was born in New York, NY, October 10, 1944, son of Leslie P. and Lillian (Brennan) Adams.  He attended St. Thomas Choir School of New York City, St. Paul’s Preparatory School of Concord, NH where he and U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) were in the same graduating class. He then graduated from Columbia University receiving a Bachelor’s degree and Harvard Graduate School where he obtained a Master’s degree in Education.  Richard furthered his education by attending Emory University School of Law and receiving his law degree.
A resident of Ridgefield since 1983 coming from Manhattan, he maintained a law practice in Ridgefield.
He was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and served on numerous committees as well as being a member of its church choir.
A member of the Ridgefield Charter Revision Committee, he was also a member of the Ridgefield Graveyard Committee, the Weir Farm Heritage Trust and the Ridgefield Lions Club.
He was an avid reader, usually reading 3 books a week, enjoyed cooking, music, sailing, carpentry and landscaping.
Richard is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Adams and Catherine Adams, two brothers, Wilton Adams and twin brother Lawrence Adams and his wife Cheryl, his former wife  Gigi (D’Cunto) Adams, five aunts, two nieces, three nephews and several cousins.
Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10AM in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 351 Main St. with the Rev. Mark Delcuze officiating.
Interment will follow in the Crypt of St. Stephen’s Church.
The family will receive friends following the service in North Hall of St. Stephen’s Church.
