Victoria A. Nicol

Victoria A. Nicol, 53, of Danbury, wife of Thomas J. Nicol died early Thursday morning, October 8, 2009 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a four and one half year courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Vicki was born in New London, CT, June 22, 1956, a daughter of Marilyn (Miller) Kugelman and the late Harold Kugelman. She was raised in the Bronx and Yorktown Heights, N.Y.  After her marriage she settled in Danbury where she has lived for the past twenty-six years.
She most recently worked for the City of Danbury in the Finance Department.  She will be remembered for her never ending attention and persistence to detail and for her care for family and co-workers, always placing the needs of others first.  She is also remembered for her love of animals, especially birds.  Vicki also enjoyed various forms of crafts; her home-made greeting cards were a joy to all.
In addition to her husband of thirty years and mother, she is survived by a daughter Jenna; a son William; her maternal grandmother Doris L. Miller; a sister Beth Lyon; a brother Martyn Kugelman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind her beloved family dog Kailee.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Danbury City Hall for their truly special heartfelt support throughout Vicki’s battle as well as everyone who provided such wonderful care at Danbury Hospital.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Sunday from 4pm to 7pm.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
