Linda J. Fidaleo

Linda J. Fidaleo, 67, of New Fairfield, wife of Joseph Fidaleo, Sr., died early Sunday morning, September 13, 2009 at the Danbury Hospital.  She had been stricken ill at home.

Mrs. Fidaleo was born in the Bronx, NY, October 9, 1941, daughter of Mario and Vera (Moroz) Sinapi both of New Fairfield. She attended Bronx schools, graduated from Walton High School and attended Fordham University. Mrs. Fidaleo was a bookkeeper at the Hunt’s Point Market for forty years.

A resident of New Fairfield since 1976 coming from the Bronx, she was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church.

She enjoyed knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles and most especially watching her children and grandchildren with their athletic endeavors.

In addition to her husband of forty-six years and parents, Mrs. Fidaleo is survived by two sons, Joseph Fidaleo, Jr. and James (Lisa) Fidaleo; three daughters, Patrice (Scott) Andreozzi, Lisa (Gary) Remley and Nancy (Thomas) Bock all of New Fairfield; a brother, Richard (Terry) Sinapi of Ft. Pierce, FL and fifteen grandchildren, Scott Jr., Matthew, Jimmy, Jenna, Joey and Cara Andreozzi, Marisa, Christina, Jessica and Michael Remley, Daria, Thomas and Gianna Bock and James Jr. and Mya Fidaleo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am in St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield.

Burial will follow in Mountainview Cemetery.

Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday from 5PM to 9PM.
