Louise Monte Rossini

Louise RossiniLouise Monte Rossini, 96, of Ridgefield passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 peacefully in her home of over 60 years surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Aldo Rossini. 

Louise was born on August 6, 1922, the daughter of the late Allessandro and Anna Monte from Passaro, Italy. She was the sister to Mary, Elda, Tina, Liana, and Ann. Louise was the loving mother to Thomas Rossini and the late Gary Rossini.

She will be deeply missed by her son Thomas Rossini and his wife June Rossini of Southington, CT, her daughter in law Barbara Rossini and her husband David Clark of Newtown, CT, and Lynn Rossini of West Hartford, her cherished grandchildren, Deanna Schirmer and husband Bob, Michele Chauvin and husband Greg, Michael Rossini and wife Julie, Katie Rossini and husband Steve, and Lisa Rossini, her great grandchildren Jackie, Bobby, Greg, Jordan, Benny, Joseph, and Grayson, many adoring nieces and nephews, her caregiver, Antoinette Cherident, who lovingly cared for her with the utmost grace and love each and every day in her home. She was the most special grandmother to the late Melanie Rossini.
 Louise most enjoyed spending time with her family. She went on countless family vacations, made every holiday feel special, and created lifelong memories in her home. She loved to cook and was famous for her risotto and neapolitan cake. She had the ability to make everyone around her feel so cared for and loved. She put everyone first and had the most generous heart of all. Louise's love for her children and beautiful grandchildren had no boundaries. She worked for over 30 years in banking and retired at the age of 70. She will be dearly missed by her family, close friends, and all that knew her.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield. Friends will be received on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
