He is also predeceased by mother & father-law, Helen (Betts) & Stewart Reinhold Sr.

Pete was born in Danbury on May 25, 1948; the oldest of his siblings. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School with a concentration in construction. He served in the Seabees as Builder First Class from 1968-72 and was stationed in Biloxi, MS, Iceland, and Vietnam. Upon returning home from his service, he worked with his father, Adam, building homes (including his own) in the Danbury area. He was then employed by the Stetson Hat Factory and worked there until its closure in 1987. Pete spent the majority of his career working for the City of Danbury Highway Department (25 years) until his retirement in 2013.

Pete met the love of his life and best friend, Marian in 1973. They were married in 1975 and spent their lives together living in the home he built for them. Pete loved nothing more than spending time with Marian, his children and their families. He enjoyed working around his home and gardens and playing with his grandsons, ‘the Boys’. He was a member of the Danbury VFW Post 149 and enjoyed attending functions there.

Due to the ongoing health emergency, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete’s memory to the VFW Post #149- Scholarship Fund, 5 Byron Street Danbury, CT 06810 will be appreciated.
