She was born July 16, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Adele (Scheaver Lovatt) and John O’Reilly.

John and Adele celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October of 2018.

Adele graduated early from All Saints High School in Brooklyn, NY. She and her husband and their two oldest daughters lived in Queens, NY until they moved to Danbury in 1976. Over the last 2 decades, Adele was a staple in the Danbury Public Schools as a Paraprofessional and Teacher’s Assistant at King Street Elementary, Rogers Park Middle School and Westside Middle School Academy. She loved spending her time with the students and being a helping hand to the teachers and principals. She always had a smile and positive attitude and brought her great sense of humor to the most challenging situations.

In addition to her husband, Adele is survived by her three daughters Julie (husband Cory) Kushion of New York, NY, Kerry (husband Belgrave) Henderson of Mount Vernon, NY and Megan (husband Dan) Winter of Monroe, WA; and her three granddaughters Penelope and Sophia Henderson and Sarah Winter; and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard J O’Reilly.

The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers who helped Adele over recent months, especially the staff at Danbury Hospital, DaVita Dialysis Center of Newtown, and Father Ron Hatton.
