Bette J. Lambert

Bette LambertBette J. Lambert, 81, of Ridgefield, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Edgar S. Lambert Sr. 

Mrs. Lambert was born on June 19, 1938 in Syracuse, NY; a daughter of the late George and Celia (Crocker) Jones. She graduated with a high school diploma from Onondaga Central 1956, and later in life, took a variety of college courses to continue her education.

A resident of Ridgefield since 1973, Mrs. Lambert was a retired Quality Control Inspector for IBM, and retired 1992. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and a ESL volunteer. Mrs. Lambert won trophies in bowling. She also volunteered, and later, worked for the YMCA after her retirement. She enjoyed arts and crafts, took piano lessons, and loved to bake breads.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by her 3 sons: George N. Lambert and his wife, Janice; Edgar S. Lambert Jr. and his wife, Susan and Paul J. Lambert. In addition, Mrs. Lambert is survived by a granddaughter, Crystal Lambert; her brothers, David and Robert Jones and her sisters, Mary, Celia and Barbara Geiszler, and extended family.  Numerous friends and neighbors will also cherish the memory of Bette`s presence in their lives. In addition to her parents and her husband, Edgar, Mrs. Lambert was predeceased by two brothers, George Jones, Jr., Thompson Jones, Sr., and a sister, Dorothy Lambert. 

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will be private.
