Donna DeSimone Davino

Donna DeSimone Davino, of Pound Ridge, passed away on March 27, 2019. She was the loving wife of Mr. Robert G. Davino and loving mother of Todd DeSimone and Christopher Davino. Mrs. Davino was born in Wilkes Barre, PA; a daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Rybak) Pegarella. Donna earned under graduate and graduate degrees from Pace University. 

A resident of Pound Ridge for the past 30 years, Donna was a Nurse Practitioner who worked in private practice in Cross River and the Masonic Clinic. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked many years at Four Winds Hospital. She was dedicated to her clients and loved helping others. She enjoyed golf, reading, board games, cards, music and travel. Sitting on the beach with a good book on a beautiful day was ideal. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking and dining out with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed seeing and playing with her two grandchildren, Blakley and Ryan. Donna was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Ridgefield.
Donna is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bob; their son, Christopher Davino and son Todd DeSimone and his wife, Brandis. In addition, she is survived by two grandchildren; Blakley and Ryan as well as her siblings; Edmund Pegarella, Joseph Pegarella and his wife, Pat, Dianne Olejar and her husband, John, Joan Ciehoski and her husband, Ronnie, Louise Martin, Eleanor True as well as many nieces, nephews close friends and colleagues. She also leaves her two dogs, Sammy and Lilly. She is loved and beloved by all who knew her. 
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary’s Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ridgefield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
