Tyler J. Cullen

Tyler J. Cullen, 33 years old of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on March 20, 2018 in Manhattan. 


Formerly from New Fairfield, CT, where he spent his childhood, Tyler had many creative accolades. He published a book at Globe Pequot Press in the KNACK series called Digital Moviemaking. Tyler was a Production Assistant on various TV series, such as SMASH, Unforgettable and Gotham. He also worked on the movies Days and Nights, Freeheld, Hungry Hearts and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His many videos on YouTube were successful, one of which garnered over 3 million hits. He was the camp videographer at Camp Starlight for a few years creating wonderfully creative videos for the campers and parents. Tyler’s passion for video and the arts and his artistic talents were cherished. 

He is survived by his father, Joseph Cullen and stepmother Cynthia Hughes of New Fairfield, CT; his mother Debra Scheer of Sarasota, FL, and his sister, Kristi Cullen of San Diego, CA. Services will be private.
