Esther M. Clark

Esther Mae (Bradley) Clark, 99, of Naugatuck, a former Danbury resident, died on Friday, February 22, 2019.

Mrs. Clark was the wife of the late James Clark.

A Danbury native, Mrs. Clark was born on May 29, 1919 to Alexander and Mary (Bailey) Bradley. She attended local schools.

A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Clark was a bookkeeper with the former Kane’s Music Store of Danbury.

Mrs. Clark served as secretary-treasurer of the Pembroke Cemetery Association of Danbury and was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury where she served as superintendent of the Sunday school program for twenty-two years and was a member of the church choir.

In addition to finding much enjoyment in singing, she had a great love for animals; most especially cats.

Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter, Mae Clark Fay; a son, James “Corky” Clark and his wife Anne; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services and burial will be announced and will take place in the spring.

There will be no calling hours.
