Ronald T. Antous

Ronald T. Antous, 86, of Danbury, husband of the late Joan (Collins) Antous, died on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the St. John Paul II Center for Health Care.

Mr. Antous was born in Danbury, April 3, 1932, a son of the late Antous M. and Florence (Shaker) Antous. A lifelong Danbury resident, he attended Danbury schools.

He served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955.

Mr. Antous was a retired upholsterer with the former Castro Convertible Company of Danbury and for the Ethan Allen Furniture Company as a upholstery and furniture repairman.

He maintained a catering company and was a bartender at the former Avalon Whaler and Jim Barbarie’s Restaurant.

Mr. Antous was an avid bowler and a member of the Catholic War Veterans, Concordia and Lebanon American Club.

Mr. Antous is survived by a daughter, Darlene Antous (Anthony Pomarico); two sons, Jeff Antous (Peggy Corbett) and Chris Antous (Cid); a brother, Raymond Antous and his wife Najlah; two grandchildren, Kresta Smykla (Jeremey) and Shannon Hawley; Four great grandchildren, Kristjian, Elexis, Kiligh and Logan and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Antous was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Chory and Marion Shaker and by a brother Richard Antous.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.

Graveside funeral services and burial with military honors (weather permitting) will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11 A.M. in Section 23 of St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
