Emma (Cigna) Farrell, 93, of Danbury, wife of the late Domenico Gallo and the late James Farrell, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Farrell was born in New York, NY, April 15, 1924, a daughter of Eusebio and Giovanna (Corani) Cigna.

A lifelong Danbury resident, she attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1941.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Colonna Lodge of the Amerigo Vespucci and St. Peter Church of Danbury.

Mrs. Farrell is survived by a daughter, Judy Mazza; sons, Donato Gallo and Philip Gallo; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Farrell was predeceased by a son, Vincent Gallo; two daughters, Donna Marie Gallo and Gianna “Gigi” Gallo; a brother, Levio Cigna and by two sisters, Gina Perisco and Mary Bingel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 am in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury.

Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
