Joseph (Joe) Edward Sabella, 74, of Ridgefield, passed away on June 17, 2016, surrounded by his family.

Joe was born on April 4, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY; a son of the late Edward and Emilia (Alfieri) Sabella. He grew up in Massapequa Park, Long Island, NY. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from NYU-Polytechnic School of Engineering. He worked for Northrop Grumman for ten years before pursuing and earning an M.B.A. in Management and Finance from University of Pennsylvania-The Wharton School. Following that, he held various management positions at information technology and services organizations. A resident of Ridgefield since 1978, Joe was most recently the Senior Vice President of Global Business Development & Strategy for Parsa Wireless.

Joe enjoyed skiing, tennis, and sailing in his early life and travelling internationally for work and pleasure in his later life. Joe always enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, and his unquenchable thirst for learning and knowledge endured throughout.

Joe is survived by two siblings: a brother, Victor Sabella and his wife, Mary, and a sister, Diane Ferguson and her husband, Ralph. He is also survived by three nephews: Keith Ferguson and his wife, April, Scott Ferguson and his wife, Jennifer, and James Ferguson and his wife, Brooke. In addition to his siblings and nephews, Joe is survived by three grand nephews; Justin, Andrew and William.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday June 20, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A memorial service will begin at 7:15 PM on Sunday evening in the funeral home.

Interment will take place on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM in St. James Cemetery; Manchester, CT.
