Lorraine A. Paradyse

Lorraine A. Paradyse, 82, of Danbury, formerly of Stamford, wife of the late Joseph M. Paradyse, died on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Glen Hill Center, Danbury.

Mrs. Paradyse was born in Norwalk, CT, June 20, 1934, a daughter of the late Theodore and Claudia Roy. She attended Norwalk schools and resided in Norwalk until her marriage to Joseph M. Paradyse and relocated to Stamford where she resided for many years prior to moving to Danbury four years ago.

She was a retired secretary with the Xerox Corporation of Stamford and was a member of St. Maurice R.C. Church of Stamford where she was a volunteer taking care of the flowers at the parish.

Mrs. Paradyse is survived by a son, Joseph Paradyse and his wife Loretta of Lake Helen, FL; two daughters, Joanne Stanton and her husband Roy of Danbury, CT and Patricia Simonelli and her husband Patrick of Bethel, CT; two sisters, Pauline Denner and her husband Leonard of Norwalk and Claire Moccia and her husband Dominic of Westport; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Paradyse was predeceased by a son, Richard Paradyse and by three brothers, Ferdinand Roy, Janin Roy and Lucien Roy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. in St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Rd., Stamford.

Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Darien.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
