Frank Nazzaro

Frank “Chuck” Nazzaro, 96, of Danbury, husband of Gilda (Corona) Nazzaro, died on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Nazzaro was born in Danbury, August 28, 1919, a son of the late Gerardo and Angelina ( Molella) Nazzaro. He attended Danbury schools.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Nazzaro was an airplane mechanic with the 307th Bombardment Group being responsible for B-24 Liberator bombers. He served in the Pacific Theatre.

In the early 50’s, Mr. Nazzaro became an auto body mechanic being employed with Pamby Motors of Ridgefield retiring after thirty six years of employment.

He was a jack of all trades.

In addition to his wife of sixty nine years, Mr. Nazzaro is survived by three sons, Dennis J. Nazzaro and his wife, Joanne of Danbury, Francis C. Nazzaro and his wife, Susan of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jeffrey T. Nazzaro and his wife, Lisa of Danbury; a sister, Frances Bracco and her husband, Russell of Buffalo, NY; eight grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Lauren, Jeffrey Jr., Dante, Victor, Enzo and Isabella, a great grandson, Vincenzo and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Nazzaro was predeceased by his siblings, Andrew, Salvatore, William and Dominic.

Services and interment will be private and at the direction of the family.

There will be no calling hours.
