Mildred F. Mancuso

Mildred F. (Klecha) Mancuso, 92, of Hickory, North Carolina, formerly of Danbury, wife of the late Anthony Anania and of the late Robert Mancuso, died in Hickory on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Mrs. Mancuso was born in Haverhill, MA, January 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Klecha) Klecha. At the age of five, Millie along with her family moved from Massachusetts to Connecticut and resided here until her retirement move to Florida and ultimately to North Carolina six years ago.

A retired beautician, Mrs. Mancuso was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Danbury.

She is survived by two daughters, Toni Anania of Rancho Murieta, CA and Tracie Anania of Hickory, NC; a sister, Nellie (Klecha) Nazzaro of Danbury; sister in law, Louise (Buzaid) Klecha of Danbury; grandchildren Cara Salom of Austin, TX, Marina Salom of Danbury and Steven Proszenyak and his wife Bonnie of Manitowoc, WI, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Mancuso was predeceased by three brothers, Edward Klecha, Fred Klecha and Max Klecha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 4th, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury with Fr. Peter Towsley officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church, 46 Stone St, Danbury or Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC.
