Freda Antous

Freda Antous, 89, of Danbury, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Danbury Hospital.

Freda was born in Danbury, August 21, 1926, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Libby) Antous. She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School.

She was employed with the Sperry Co. of Danbury and in later years with General Electric Corp.

Freda was a past member of several bowling leagues of the Danbury area.

A lifelong area resident, she was a member of St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church of Danbury, its Ladies Society and a member of the Ma-Asser Society.

She is survived by a niece, Patricia Madkour; four nephews, Thomas Antous, Richard Antous, Frederick Antous and Joseph Antous as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, Freda was predeceased by her three brothers, George Antous, Frederick Antous and Morris Antous.

The Rite of Burial will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. in St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Rd., (Rt. 39N) Danbury with Archimandrite Michael Skrocki officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends in St. Ann Melkite Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Ann Melkite Church.
