Ronald R. Urban

Ronald R. Urban, 69, of Danbury, husband of Sandy (Taylor) Urban and father of Debbie Urban, died on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Danbury Hospital.

Ron was born in Danbury, May 11, 1946, son of Ralph and Mildred (Streibig) Urban. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Danbury High with the Class of 1964.

He served with the U.S. Army National Guards.

Ron began his trade as a machinist at Valluzzo’s Machine shop and then went to Amphenol Corporation, both of Danbury. He later was employed with Controlex of Croton Falls, NY for over twenty years. When the company relocated, he returned to Amphenol and retired from there.

Upon retirement, Ron became a driver with Ability Beyond and Education Connection.

A jack of all trades, Ron enjoyed working outdoors and maintaining the perfect yard. When he could not be outdoors, he passed his time watching old shows and playing solitaire on the computer.

Ron was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 2015 and St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury.

In addition to his wife Sandy of forty six years and daughter Debbie, he is survived by a sister in law, Debi Higgins of Novato, CA; his best friends, Phil and Kristy Ranieri and family and Bob Caiazzo all of Danbury.

Mr. Urban also leaves behind his two canine friends, Linda and Simon.

Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Sec. 17 of St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury with the Rev. Naji J. Kirwan officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
