Lawrence A. Toscano

Lawrence A. Toscano, 85, of Brookfield, CT, formerly of Ridgefield, husband of Jeanette (Mazzoni) Toscano, died on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Regional Hospice of Western CT Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury.

Born in the Bronx, NY, to Rose (Gusmano) and Gaetano Toscano on February 3, 1930, he was also raised and attended local schools.

A retired businessman having businesses in New York and New Jersey, Mr. Toscano owned the Advanced Window and Elite Roofing companies.

He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

A resident of the area since 1995 coming from Stamford, Mr. & Mrs. Toscano also resided in Mahopac, NY.

He enjoyed skeet shooting, travel, trying his luck at various casinos and the music of Frank Sinatra.

In addition to his wife Jeanette of sixty-four years, Mr. Toscano is survived by a son, Thomas Toscano; a daughter Debrarose Toscano; two brothers, Leonard Toscano and Thomas Toscano; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Toscano was predeceased by a son, Frank Toscano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Ave., Hawthorne, NY.

Entombment will follow in the Rosewood Mausoleum of Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.

There will be no calling hours.
