Charles H. Taylor

Charles H. Taylor, 72, of Brewster, NY, formerly of Danbury, died on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Danbury Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Angela (Coppola) Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was born in Danbury, January 31, 1943, son of the late Joseph “Mel” and Marcia (Abdo) Taylor. He attended St. Peter Parochial School and graduated from Danbury High School-Class of 1960.

A former employee of the City of Danbury Public Works Division, he was a retired contract manage with Ambel of Bethel, CT.

He was a U.S. Army peacetime veteran.

A lifelong area resident, he was a fan of NASCAR fan and the NY Jets. He enjoyed country music and dance.

He was a past member of Wooster Hose #5 Volunteer Fire Company of a member of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury.

Mr. Taylor is survived by three sons, Joseph Taylor and his wife, Cathy of Brewster, NY, Robert Taylor and his wife, Nancy of Hopewell Junction, NY and Anthony Taylor and his wife Christina of Southbury, CT; two sisters, Carole Pettibone and her husband, Hunter of Bethel, CT and Gigi Skidmore and her husband, Jonathan of Danbury; seven grandchildren, Jackie, Emily, Andrew, Devin, April, Kalie and Jenna; his loving companion Joan; his extended family, the Garrows of Plattsburgh, NY and several in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Taylor was predeceased by a sister, Lisa Ann Taylor.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Ave., Danbury with Msgr. James A. Root officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at St. Anthony Church on Wednesday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
