Lars OttoLars Christian Otto, 46, an avid sportsman died Saturday, February 14th due to injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in Maine. A Danbury native, Lars is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer (Hamilton) Otto, parents Jack and Carolyn (Masi) Otto, four siblings and their spouses Hans & Pina Otto, Eric Otto, Karl & Joan Otto and Katrina Otto & Ron Freier. He is also survived by two nieces; Brooke & Brynn, three nephews; Kyle, Reese and Jack, two godsons; Gage & Syd, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his treasured German Shepherd, Cash.

Lars graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in 1987 with top shop honors in auto body repair. He continued his mechanical education and earned contractor licenses in plumbing, heating and sheet metal. Together with his wife Jennifer they ran The Otto Company continuing a family tradition since 1935 and launched a new spray foam insulation division, Otto SF.

Lars was most at home in the woodlands of Maine and Montana, tinkering with a car, tank engine or anything mechanical in his shop. He had a quick wit, broad smile and a twinkle in his eye. His fun loving nature made him a big hit with kids and animals and earned him many friends making him a rich man.

In celebration of his life, Lars’ family will receive family and friends Friday, Feb 20th, 2015 from 12PM to 4PM with a Memorial Service at 3PM at The Amber Room, 1 Stacey Road, Danbury. A funeral mass and interment will be held in the spring. Lars proudly supported Wounded Warrior Project,
