Anna Maria came to the U.S. in 1957, after having married her love, Italo, in 1956. The family first settled in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and moved to the Bronx in 1965.

Anna Maria was devoted to her family and Church and worked as a seamstress where she would meet many of her life long friends. She became a citizen in 1961 after attending school in the evenings. She mastered the English language and was an avid reader, who frequented the local library with her husband weekly. Anna Maria continued her Italian legacy with her marvelous cooking skills, knitting and the love to sing and dance to Italian music while she was cooking.

Anna Maria had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being with family and friends, she loved nature and long walks to Orchard Beach.
