Arnold P. Friedlander

Arnold Friedlander Arnold Friedlander Arnold Friedlander, 82, long-time resident of Ridgefield, passed away on September 22, 2015 at Regional Hospice of Western CT Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury. Arnold was born in the Bronx and attended DeWitt Clinton High School. He was a member of the first co-ed class at Hunter College where he continued to play basketball and swim. He served active duty in Korea while in the United States Army. Arnold created a successful wood products business, specializing in exotic veneers and wood parts for the furniture and architectural design industries. Arnold was an avid racing sailor and participated in years of racing on Long Island Sound. He was a classic car enthusiast and restorer. He served as a Jaguar Judge for the Jaguar Club of Southern New England and volunteered at Lime Rock Park Race Track. He was an active and longtime member of Temple Shearith Israel in Ridgefield. Arnold’s two previous marriages ended in divorce. He will be missed by his wife, Diana of 36 years and his four children,

Funeral services were held at Temple Shearith Israel on Friday, September 25, 2015.
