MaryAnn (Saladino) DiBari

Mary Ann DiBariMaryAnn (Saladino) DiBari, 76, of Pound Ridge, NY, died at her residence on Saturday, March 21, 2015 after a long battle fighting breast cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (nee Accurso) Saladino. She attended NY schools. A poet and scholar, she attained a Masters Degree in Literature, spoke several languages including Italian, Latin, Hebrew, English and Russian, she was skilled in the art of debate and ethics, later attained her Juris Doctorate degree and established a legal practice working tirelessly for the innocent, underprivileged and less fortunate. A woman of deep faith, she was Roman Catholic and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Giacomo ("Jack") DiBari; six children, Katrina (Gary) Starr, Jacqueline(Brian) Scott, Leonard(Darci Malverty) DiBari, Jennifer (Steven) Fratta, Lisa (Brian) Coughlin and Lara (Angel) Tersigni; a twin sister, Kathryn Martino; a brother, John Saladino; 26 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. DiBari was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Joseph Saladino and by a grandson, Nicholas Tersigni; MaryAnn's "special baby boy" with whom she is joined eternally.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:15 pm in St. Mary R.C. Church, 55 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, CT. Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, CT. (www.kanefuneralhome.net) on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm and on Friday from 11am to 12:30 pm.
