Rose Marie Davie

Rose Marie Davie, 80, of Port Richey, FL, formerly of Danbury and Bethel, died in Clearwater, FL on June 20, 2015 with family by her side.

Rose is a daughter of Peter H. and Mabel (Pesente) Sailer of Danbury and was predeceased by her first husband, Eldon G. Griswold and her second husband, Floyd E. Davie, he sister, Jeanette Marquisof Port St. Lucie, FL and brother in law, Clifford C. Griswold of Port Richey, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Griswold-Conrod and her husband, Arthur and son, Corey; Susan Ann Maloney and her fiancé, Richard White of Hudson, FL and her three children, Jennifer Dean of Galena, IL, Danielle Dean of Port Richey, FL, Damien Dean of Hudson, FL and by three great grandchildren.

Rose graduated from Danbury High School Class of 1952. She began her working career at Danbury Hospital. Rose then went to work with the State of Connecticut at the former Fairfield Hills State Hospital until her retirement in 1990 after thirty six years of employment.

Rose was an active member of ASCM Council #4, Local 562 while working for the state.

After retirement, Rose and Floyd traveled across the country in their 5th wheel trailer for a few years. They settled down in Port Richey, FL where Rose went back to work at Ja-Mar North Travel Park, as the office manager. Rose retired just a few years ago.

Rose loved to read, playing bingo and cards. She also loved to go cruising, her favorite one being the “Big Family Cruise” of 2011.

Services were held in Florida and a graveside funeral service and burial followed at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
