Molly Catalina

Molly Catalina, 94 of Ridgefield, formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on November 17, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Catalina.

Mrs. Catalina was born on May 12, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY; a daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Maenza) Ilasi. Molly graduated from a girl's vocational high school in Brooklyn and was a dedicated employee of Loehman's department store for over ten years. She was an active parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Flatbush and she never met a soap opera she didn't like. Her daughters and grandchildren were the light of her life. 

A resident of Ridgefield for the past 8 years, since coming from Brooklyn; Mrs. Catalina attended St. Mary Church of Ridgefield.

Mrs. Catalina is survived by her four daughters: Lucille Rosmarine and her husband, Allan; Jo Anne Hyland, Mary Ann Catalina and Victoria Abell and her husband,William.

She is also survived by six grandchildren: Michael, Scott, Jessica, Tara, Anthony and Daniel as well as a sister, Jean Livoti.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Catalina was predeceased by a son in law, Brian Hyland.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 1 to 5 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary Church, Ridgefield. Interment will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:30 AM in Forest Green Park Cemetery; Morganville, NJ.
