Alta Jean Rosato, 85, of Danbury; wife of the late Duillo G. Rosato, passed away on September 1, 2014 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Rosato was born in Yakima, Washington on March 30, 1929, daughter of Nathan and Myrtle Coontz.

A 60 year Danbury resident coming from Yakima, Washington; Mrs. Rosato was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church of Danbury.

She was a retired Retail Associate, most recently working for Macy’s.

She is survived by her children; David Rosato, of Sandy Hook; Kevin Rosato of New Milford and Catherine Rosato of Danbury.

In addition to her three children, she is survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Church; 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury.

Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, New Milford.

Friends will be received at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 7-9 pm.
