Dorothy A. Perry

Dorothy A. Perry, 96, of Danbury, wife of the late Joseph F. Perry and mother and mother in law of Marybeth and William Hamilton died on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Glen Hill Health Care Center, Danbury.

Mrs. Perry was born in Danbury, May 7, 1918, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sturges. She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury State Teachers College.

She was a retired secretary and accounts receivable clerk of the Barden Corp. of Danbury.

A lifelong Danbury resident, Mrs. Perry was a member of United Methodist Church and the Helping Hands Circle.

In addition to her daughter, Marybeth and son in law, Bill, she is survived by two grandchildren, Gary and Laura.

Mrs. Perry was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband, by a grandson, Carl and sisters, Helen and Marjorie.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1:30 pm in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury with Pastor Dan Kelly officiating.

Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Saturday after 12:30 pm.
