Enrico B. Moretti Jr.

Enrico MorettiEnrico “Rick” Moretti Jr., 72, of Danbury Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Friday, January 31, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Enrico was born, November 24, 1941 and raised in Norwalk, CT, graduated from Norwalk High School and then attended business school.

He was the owner and operator of Moretti Building and Remodeling.

Enrico was one of seven children born to the late Enrico and Agnes (Mosca) Moretti.

He is survived by his dear friend and life partner, Terry Mercede and former wife, Julie Moretti. Enrico will forever be remembered by his two daughters, Dawn Milazzo and Hope Biasetti and son-in-laws, Michael Milazzo and Anthony Biasetti; his loving sister, Augustina Grater and treasured grandchildren, Michael Enrico Milazzo, Micaela Milazzo, Mary Biasetti, Christina Biasetti, Catherine Biasetti, Lorenzo Biasetti, Joseph Biasetti, Cecilia Biasetti and Bernadette Biasetti along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Enrico was a gifted craftsman and loved spending time in nature fishing and bird watching, being with his family, having fun with friends and teaching his grandchildren about nature and the creatures that God created.

Enrico touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
In addition to his parents, Enrico was predeceased by three brothers, Nick, Vincent and Anthony and by two sisters, Josephine and Philomena.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 6th at 10:30 AM in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury.
Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.

Friends and family may call at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, on Wednesday, February 5th, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Enrico’s family would like to thank the compassionate doctors and nurses who gave such wonderful care for Enrico in his time of need at The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital; most especially Dr. Michael Cohenuram, his Oncologist and Dr. Robert Wenick, his personal physician of 30 years.
