Richard Walker LeLash

Richard Walker LeLash, 69, of Redding died Monday, October 13, 2014 at Danbury Hospital with his family by his side.

Richard was born and raised in Scarsdale, NY in 1945, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred LeLash. After graduating from Philips Exeter Academy in 1963, he attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and in 1969 with a Master's of Business Administration.

After working in management consulting at Touche Ross & Co. and finance at PepsiCo, Inc., Mr. LeLash co-founded Georgetown Consulting Group in Ridgefield, CT in 1979. There he specialized in utility regulation in various states.

An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Whippoorwill Country Club in Armonk, NY.  He enjoyed hiking the many trails of Redding with his faithful companion, Snoopy.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Teresa (Readman) LeLash and their two children, Marian and Justin LeLash, all of Redding; his brother William LeLash of Eugene, OR; his first wife Gudrun LeLash of Essex, CT and their sons Derek and Althea of Sunnyvale, CA, Christian and Jennifer of Dallas, TX and Curtis and Victoria of La Crescenta, CA and four grandchildren, Carter, Graham, Ian, and Jackson.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 17 at 10:15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ridgefield, with a reception to follow.  There will be no calling hours.
