Antonio DiBuono

Antonio DiBuono, of New Fairfield, died peacefully, heroically succumbing to cancer on Nov. 22, 2014. Italian born, April 13, 1920.

Beloved by his wife Antonietta,(Fanelli) for 67 years, his 3 children: Carmela, Margo, Joseph and spouses; 4 grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew, Jase and Elle, and 1 great-granddaughter: Mia.

Pre-deceased by his 3 brothers, Mike, Donato, and Pasquale, Antonio enjoyed the affection of his loving sisters and brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

He was proud of having worked on many local projects, as a member of the local Bricklayer’s Union. He most enjoyed sharing stories about how lucky and thankful he was to have survived being a prisoner-of-war during WW2. His love of life was unshakeable.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11 a.m.

in St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Peter

Cemetery, Danbury. There will be no calling hours. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements. Memorial gifts can be made to St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield.
