Katherine A. Curesky, 98, of Brookfield, wife of the late Leo Curesky, died on Monday, November 24, 2014.

Affectionately known as “Kit”, Mrs. Curesky was born in Danbury, January 31, 1916, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Baranovska) Kroll. She attended Danbury schools and was a retired Group Leader having been employed with The Barden Corporation of Danbury.

A resident of Brookfield for the past twenty-five years, Mrs. Curesky was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Danbury,

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Margerison and her husband, Edward of Southbury, CT; a son, Rev. Mark Leo Curesky, OFM Conv., Pastor of St. John Church of Cromwell, CT; four grandsons, Matthew Margerison, Andrew Margerison, Geoffrey Margerison and Charles Margerison; three great-grandchildren, Reis Margerison, Alexis Margerison and Xavier Margerison as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Curesky was predeceased by five sisters, Ann Marasco, Bernice Daly, Stella Flye, Sophie Amorosa Wilkalis and Victoria Gereg.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury with Rev. Mark Leo Curesky, OFM Conv., son of the deceased as Main Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
