Nawal D. Yammine

Nawal D. Yammine, 54, of Danbury, died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

Nawal was born in Lebanon, August 6, 1959, a daughter of Clemence (Tatarian) Yammine of Ridgefield, CT and the late Dib Y. Yammine.

She immigrated to the United States in 1977 with her family, attended local schools, graduated from Danbury High School in the Class of 1978 and was a secretary-bookkeeper with US Sign in Fabrication of Trumbull and for the past four years volunteered as a secretary-bookkeeper at St. Anthony Maronite Church, Danbury where she was a communicant.

She enjoyed crocheting as a hobby and the time spent with her family. She will be sorely missed.

In addition to her mother, Nawal is survived by four brothers, Joseph Yammine, Abdallah Yammine, George Yammine and Edmond Yammine; two sisters, Jeanne Madkour and Elham Naim; four nieces, four nephews and a grandniece.

In addition to her father, Nawal was predeceased by a brother, Charles Yammine.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:30 am in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Ave., Danbury.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at St. Anthony Church on Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
