Robert SiwikROBERT P. SIWIK, 74 of Newtown, CT died peacefully September 16th in his home surrounded by family. Born April 20, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI, he was a son of John and Frieda (Misiasz) Siwik.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon and seven children, Jodie Enrqiuez (Tony), Marjorie Mullen (Bryan), Robert Siwik (Ivy), Peter Siwik (Laura), Lawrence Siwik, Catherine Monckton (Richard), John Siwik (Kara) and thirteen beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Edward Siwik, of Kalamazoo, MI and three nieces, Christine Siwik, Pamela Siwik and Michele Cole.

He was employed by Union Camp (Allied Container) for 35 years. He loved his family, his Polish heritage, hunting, fishing and organic farming.

The family would like to thank Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT, Astrid, Mary and Candice in particular for their devoted and loving care. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Lincare of Brookfield, CT.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place Friday, September 20th at 10 am at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT with Fr. John Cigan of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Danbury officiating.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.

The family will receive friends in St. Ann Melkite Church on Thursday, September 19th from 5 to 8 pm.

The Parastas service will take place at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 13 Pembroke Road, Danbury, CT 06811 to assist in the efforts to rebuild our family church, which was lost to a fire this summer.
