Ann R. Rossi

Ann (Timan) Rossi, 87, of Danbury, wife of the late Arnold J. Rossi, Sr., died on Thursday, January 15, 2014 at the Hewitt Health and Rehabilitation Center, Shelton, CT.

Mrs. Rossi was born in Danbury, December 13, 1926, daughter of Michael Sr. and Mary (Zuzalock) Timan. She attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School in the Class of 1944.

A retired banker with the former City Trust Co. of Danbury, Mrs. Rossi was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Danbury where she was an active member of the former Altar Society and Golden Dome Bakers.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and was an accomplished quilter.

She is survived by a daughter, Ava Chervansky and her husband, Michael of Huntington, CT; a son, Arnold J. Rossi, MD and his wife, Bella of West Hartford, CT; two brothers, Michael Timan and Frank Timan and his wife, Angela all of Danbury; four grandchildren, Emma and Mark Rossi and David and Joseph Chervansky and several nieces and nephews.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:30 am in St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Rd. (Rt. 39N), Danbury with the Rev. Fr. John Cigan of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Danbury officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at St. Ann Church on Tuesday from 9 am to 10 am.
