Patricia E. Ralph

Patricia E. Ralph, 84, of Danbury, wife of the late F. Norman Ralph died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Ralph was born in Danbury, May 26, 1929, a daughter of the late Irving and Mae (Marcioch) Tierney.

She met Norman, a railroad fireman, he proposed on the first date, and they married when she was 18. He told her she did not have to work so she needed a hobby. She taught herself to knit. In later years she would list her occupation as a “Knitting Diva”. She said knitting was her God-given talent.

Her proudest moment was attending a special viewing of the Christmas tree in The White House during the Clinton administration. Works from the guilds of American crafters were used to decorate the tree and Pat’s knitting was among them.

She was a wonderful, generous, and giving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Peach, son-in-law Clark Eno, and granddaughter Alyssa Eno with whom she lived, daughter-in-law Diane Ralph, and grandchildren Jennifer and Doug Ralph.

A private Celebration of Life will take place.

There will be no calling hours.

Contributions in Mrs. Ralph’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
