Augusta (Morelli) Naimoli, 100, of New Fairfield, wife of the late Vito Naimoli, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Bethel Health Care, Bethel, CT.

Mrs. Naimoli was born in New York, NY, May 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Harry and Jeanette Morelli. She attended New York schools and was employed by the Archdiocese of New York as a housekeeper for twenty five years at St. Philip Neri Rectory, Grand Concourse, The Bronx, NY retiring in 1979.

She was also a volunteer at the Lauderhill Senior Center, Lauderhill, FL.

A resident of New Fairfield for the past 24 years coming from the Bronx where they resided for 45 years prior, , she was a member and volunteer of the New Fairfield Senior Center, a member of the New Fairfield Red Hats, a volunteer at the Candlewood Playhouse where she ushered the Wednesday and Thursday matinees and a member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish.

On May 15, friends and family joined “Gussie” Naimoli at Bethel Health Care Center to celebrate her 100th birthday.

She has always taken great pleasure in her family and enjoyed crafts, singing, dancing and performing activities .

Mrs. Naimoli is survived by a daughter, Frances DePoto of New Fairfield; a son, Anthony Naimoli of Buford, GA; two brothers, Romeo Morelli of New Fairfield and Louis Morelli of Staten Island, NY; four grandchildren, Joseph DePoto, Augusta “Cookie” Rose, Joseph A. Naimoli and Michael V. Naimoli; five great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Naimoli was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony T. Naimoli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT.

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
