Ruby Coppola

Ruby (Crisci) Coppola, 108, of Brookfield, formerly of Staten Island, NY, wife of the late Vincent “Jimmy” Coppola, died at her residence on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Mrs. Coppola was born in Pittsburgh on August 23, 1905, daughter of John and Giovanna (nee Macorlana) Crisci. Mrs. Coppola was associated with her late husband in the operation of two restaurants, the first being in upper Manhattan and the second on Staten Island.

A resident of Brookfield for the last three years, coming from Staten Island, NY where she formerly resided on Colony Avenue. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish of Staten Island and most recently St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish of Brookfield.

Mrs. Coppola is survived by two daughters, Ann M. Cerone of Brookfield and Mary Ignazzi of Flanders, NJ; a son, Vincent Coppola of Las Vegas, NV; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and four great great-children; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Jennie Bruno and Concetta Whiteaker and by an infant son, Vincent.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Church, Staten Island, NY. Entombment will take place in the Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, CT. on Wednesday, November 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
