Margaret G. Colabufo

Margaret ColabufoMargaret (Garofalo) Colabufo, 86, of Ridgefield, wife of the late Dominic Colabufo, died on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care, Danbury.
Mrs. Colabufo was born in the Bronx, NY, February 17, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Damiana (Soave) Colabufo. She attended Bronx schools.
A retired seamstress of the New York ladies garment industry, Mrs. Colabufo has been a resident of Ridgefield for the past twenty-two years.
A member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Ridgefield, she was a member of the Primetimers and made many of the altar cloths and baptismal garments for the church.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing and most especially the time spent with her family.
Mrs. Colabufo is survived by two daughters, Marie Trebing and her husband, Al P. of Ridgefield and Diane McCormack of Danbury; four sisters, Angelina D’Orazio of Ridgefield, Rose Hogerheide and Ann Pokorny both of Florida and Antoinette Antonioli of New Rochelle, NY; six grandchildren, Adam Trebing and his wife Jaclyn, Marin Strout and her husband Frederick,Michael Trebing and his wife Courtney, Meghan Woolf and her husband Seth, Kathleen DiLungo and her husband Mark Anthony and Michelle McCormack; two great grandchildren, Mason Strout and Gennaro DiLungo and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Colabufo was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Garofalo and Joseph Garofalo and by three sisters, Betty Locorieri, Martha DiRivera and Sylvia Ceglia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Ridgefield with Father Joseph Prince officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
