Pamela P. Alphonso

Pamela P. Alphonso, 76 of Danbury, wife of the late Frank Alphonso, died on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Alphonso was born in India, August 2, 1937, daughter of Frank and Rose (Vivaris) Alphonso. She attended schools in India.

A resident of Danbury for the past twenty years coming from India, she was a retired retail sales clerk at Filene’s and a homemaker.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing, the game of Scrabble and a listener of Praise & Worship Music.

Mrs. Alphonso attended Faith Church of New Milford.

She is survived by six children, Stuart (Caroline) Marina, Melissa (Reggie), Ruth (Walter) Wanda (Erole) and Wendy (Jim); daughter in law, Roma; a brother, Derek; a sister, Sylvia and seven grandchildren, Joshua, Naomi, Kimberly, Emma, Adrian, Timothy and Walter Jr.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Alphonso was predeceased by a son, Emile.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:30 am in Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury with Pastor Dan Titillo of Faith Church officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Thursday after 11 am.
