Mary T. Rowella

Mary T. Rowella, 87 of Ridgefield, wife of the late Frank A. Rowella, Sr., died on Friday morning, February 10, 2012 at Wilton Meadows Health Care, Wilton, CT.

Mrs. Rowella was born in Brooklyn, New York, October 15, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Jenny (DiBrizzi) Ferro.  She attended New York schools.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past forty-eight years coming from Stamford, Mrs. Rowella was a member of St. Mary Parish and of its Widows & Widowers Club.

Mrs. Rowella enjoyed cooking and cleaning and most especially enjoyed the time shared with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by four sons, Robert R. Rowella and his wife, Karla of Manchester, CT, Frank A. Rowella, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne of Ridgefield, CT, Richard A. Rowella and his wife, Pamela of Ridgefield, CT and Paul T. Rowella and his wife, Lisa of Danbury, CT; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to Mrs. Rowella’s husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Michael Ferro, Anthony Ferro, Alex Ferro and John Ferro and by two sisters, Christine Arnone and Antoinette Ferro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 10:15 AM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield with Monsignor Laurence R. Bronkiewicz, S.T.D. officiating.

Entombment will take place in the family mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.  www.kanefuneralhome.net
