Nick Oliveto III

Nick Olivetto IIIDominic L. “Nick” Oliveto III, 21, of Danbury, son of Dominic L., Jr. and Jill L. (Joudy) Oliveto passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Danbury Hospital.

Nick was born in Pensacola, FL, April 13, 1990 and at the age of three moved with his family to Elizabeth, Colorado where he resided until 2002, attending Trinity Lutheran School. 

A resident of Danbury since 2002, Nick attended New Hope Christian Academy and graduated from Danbury High School in 2008. He later attended Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Nick worked at Shaw’s grocery while attending high school and held various jobs thereafter, including working with his father in the carpentry business.

With a strong social media interest, an innovative Nick established various web sites and operated the former site known as “The Danbury Grapevine”.  He enjoyed riding his quad as well as hunting, camping, and fishing.  Nick loved spending time with family and friends and was widely known as a warm and good-hearted person.

Nick attended the First Assembly of God Church, Brookfield.

In addition to his parents, Dominic and Jill, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Evelyn K.  Joudy; his aunts and uncles, Cherie and Art Palm, Joni Westbrook, Stacey and Dave Byrd, Jacqueline and Thomas Nejame and Kathlyn and Carlo Re and many cousins.

Nick was predeceased by his paternal grandparents; Dominic and Janet Oliveto; his maternal grandfather, Robert A. Joudy and an aunt, Jocelyn Joudy.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012  at 11 AM in the First Assembly of God Church, 133 Junction Road, Brookfield.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5 PM to 8PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity you feel best reflects your memory of Nick.
