Joseph F. Devine

Joseph F. Devine, 75, of Danbury, died on Christmas 2012 at Danbury Health Care.

Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY, October 14, 1937, son of the late John F. and Ethel A. (McDonnell) Devine.  He attended NY Public schools.

A resident of Danbury for the past fifty-nine years coming from Brooklyn, Joe was active with the McGivney Council Knights of Columbus and the Rev. John D. Kennedy Assembly 4th degree Knights of Columbus as well as being a member of the Color Corps.

A former employee of the Barden Corp. Mr. Devine was a transportation aide for Education Connection and assisted in the Meals on Wheels program at Ives Manor, Danbury.

He was also a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Joe enjoyed bicycle riding and photography.

He is survived by several cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10 AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury.

Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

There will be no calling hours. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
