Louis F. Cypher, Sr.

Louis F. Cypher Sr., 75, of Bethel, husband of Patricia (Dekker) Cypher died on Tuesday evening, December 18, 2012 at Bethel Health Care.

Mr. Cypher was born in Mt. Kisco, NY, September 6, 1937 and attended Westchester County schools.

An air conditioning and refrigeration technician, Mr. Cypher was last employed with Holiday Inn.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the U.S. Destroyer Renshaw and was a member of AARP # 3340 and of St. Anthony Maronite Parish of Danbury.

He enjoyed the time he shared with his family and most especially his grandchildren. He was regarded by his family as a “Jack of All Trades.”

Mr. Cypher is survived by his wife, Pat of fifty-one years; his step-mother, Dorothy (Robins) Cypher of Danbury; two sons, Francis A. Main and his wife, Nancy of Thomaston, CT and Louis Cypher Jr. and his wife, Roxanne of Sherman; a daughter, Barbara A. Andrews and her husband, Richard of Newtown; four brothers, William James Cypher, Kenneth Cypher, Phillip Cypher and John Cypher; a sister, Susan Hall; eight grandchildren, Richard Andrews III, Kimberly Andrews, Seamus Cypher, Sean Cypher, David Main, Christopher Main, April Main and Keara Main; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cypher was predeceased by his father, Harrison J. Cypher; a brother, Harrison J. Cypher, Jr., a sister, Helen Cypher Lucsky and by a granddaughter, Christina Main.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Ave., Danbury with Fr. Jean Younes officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery at the direction of the family.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM.
