Charles G. Coniglio

Charles G. Coniglio, 89 of Danbury, formerly of Margate, FL and Yonkers, NY died at his residence on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

He was the husband of sixty-five years to Josephine (Aiello) Coniglio.

Mr. Coniglio was born in New York, NY, August 30, 1922, son of Gasparo and Felicia (Ribando) Coniglio.  He attended NY schools and was a retired HVAC contractor.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a past commander of the City Island Post, American Legion.

A Danbury resident for the past two years coming from Margate, FL, he was a member of St. Joseph Parish of Danbury.

In addition to his wife, Josephine, he is survived by two daughters, Karen DeTorres of Danbury and Donna Costa of Yonkers, NY; a son, Kenneth Coniglio of Holland, PA; five grandchildren, Michael Mercer, Dana Tubman, Geoffrey Coniglio, Christopher Costa and Nicholas Costa and five great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, Danbury with Rev. David W. Franklin, Parochial Vicar officiating.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-1 Granville Ave., Danbury on Friday, 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM.
