Vafa Michael Mavaddat
Anna Basile Vafa Michael Mavaddat, 17 year resident of Ridgefield ,  the beloved husband of Bita Edraki Mavaddat  and the loving father of Michael Adib and Emily Elham Mavaddat hastened to his eternal abode on Sunday, April 3rd 2011, at the age of 49.

Mr. Mavaddat was a partner at Decision Strategies International, a management consulting firm. He held management positions in Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Western Digital Corporation and GEC-Plessey Company (UK), and Alexander Group. He also served as CEO of Intelligent Pixels, Inc., an early-stage technology venture. Mr. Mavaddat received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, his BA in Management Engineering/Economics from Claremont McKenna College and his MBA from Cornell University. He was a Senior Fellow in the Mack Center for Technological Innovation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His work has been published in numerous magazines, industry journals and publications. He was a devout and active member of the Baha’i Faith and an active member of the Ridgefield clergy association. A devoted father, he was intimately involved in his children's education and activities. He coached soccer for both Michael and Emily's house and travel SCOR teams, and he was well-known for his joyful and loving ways. His wisdom, grace and compassionate presence shall be sorely missed.

Services to celebrate his short but exemplary life will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at 11:30 am in the Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St., Westport, CT. A Celebration of Michael's Life will follow immediately at Dolce, 32 Weed Ave., Norwalk, CT (1-203-852-7300). The family requests all to remain following the Celebration of Life services for an early dinner.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., on Friday, April 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
