Arthur TuccioArthur J. Tuccio, Jr., 47 of Ridgefield, husband of Susan (Williams) Tuccio died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2012 after a long illness.

Arthur was born in Mt. Kisco, NY, November 23, 1964, son of Arthur J. and Liisa (Suomela) Tuccio of Ridgefield and Naples, Florida.  He was raised in Ridgefield and attended St. Mary and Ridgefield Schools. He graduated from Immaculate High School, Danbury in the Class of 1982.

He joined his father in the building and development business, and in 1990 established the Tuccio Development of Ridgefield.  With a creative and innovative mind he developed many housing communities in Ridgefield, New Milford, and Brookfield, Connecticut.

Art was a lifelong resident of Ridgefield and lived his life and every moment of it for his three sons. He coached for Ridgefield Little League and Babe Ruth for many years.

Art married his high school sweetheart Susan, the love of his life twenty-three years ago.  They met at Immaculate High School and were true soul mates and best friends. He was devoted to spending all of his time with his family.  He loved the outdoors and spending time skiing on Okemo Mountain and boating on Candlewood Lake where he owned homes.   He loved taking his daily walks with his dogs Summit and Cash.  Art was a devoted, passionate family man, a true leader to his extended family and he will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Tuccio was a lifelong member of St. Mary Parish, Ridgefield.

In addition to his wife Susan, and his parents, he is survived by three sons, Andrew A. Tuccio, Alex J. Tuccio and Hunter W. Tuccio all of Ridgefield; two brothers, David M. Tuccio and his wife, Donna of Windermere, FL and Edward J. Tuccio and his wife, Kimberly (Dorey) of Ridgefield; a sister, Tina Guerra and her husband, Daniel of Ridgefield. Uncle Artie loved his many nieces and nephews, Mary Beth Waterbury, Lauren, Chelsea, and Hailey Guerra, Brandon and Isabella Tuccio, Kaila and Jenna Tuccio, Karli and Jack Williams, and Ava and Shayna Williams. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gloria R. Williams of Danbury, Connecticut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:15am in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield with Father Russell Augustine, Parochial Vicar officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

The family will receive friends and family in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
