Richard G. Mohr

Richard G. Mohr, 85, of 204 Old Mill Rd., Greenwich, formerly of Richmond, VA died January 19th at Greenwich Wood in Greenwich, CT after a brief illness.  He was the husband of the late Helen Aitken Mohr.

Born in Syracuse, NY on March 23, 1925, Mr. Mohr was the son of the late Frederick G. and Anna M. Mullen Mohr.  He was a 1943 Graduate of Holy Rosary High School in Syracuse.  He received his BA from Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY  and his MBA from Pace University.  He served with the US Navy during WWII serving in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters of war. 

Mr. Mohr joined the FBI as a special agent from 1952 to 1958.  He worked for AMF and Merrill-Lynch before becoming Director of Corporate Security for CIBA-GEIGY in 1970, he retired in 1989.  Mr. Mohr was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Ellen Henry and her husband, David, of Greenwich.  Two sons, Richard of Maine and Mitchell and his wife, Catherine, of Richmond.  11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:15pm at St. Mary’s Church, Ridgefield.  Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, De Witt, New York on Wednesday at 2pm.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kane Funeral Home, 41 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.
