Anthi Mamoulakis

Anthi Mamoulakis, 88 of Danbury , wife of the late Constantinos Mamoulakis, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Glen Hill Convalescent Center, Danbury.

Mrs. Mamoulakis was born in Monessen, PA, February 20, 1923, a daughter of the late Hercules and Maria (Croussouloudis) Croussouloudis.  She attended Pennsylvania schools.

A resident of Danbury for the past thirty years coming from New York, Mrs. Mamoulakis was a retired credit specialist with Union Carbide Corporation.

She was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church of Danbury  and of its Ladies Philoptochos Society  and V.I.P. Group.

Mrs. Mamoulakis enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by a son, John Mamoulakis; a daughter, Constantina Simotas ; a brother, Cleovoulos Croussouloudis, a sister; Helen Croussouloudis and two grandchildren; Christos Simotas and Anthi Simotas.

The Rite of Burial will take place on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 at 11 am in the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury with the Rev. Peter Karloutsos officiating.

Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm.

The Trisagion service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 6 pm.

Contributions in Mrs. Mamoulakis’ memory and honor may be made to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Danbury.
