Henry A. Lawinski

Henry A. Lawinski, 74, a resident of Broomfield, CO, died Sat. April 30th at his residence.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sat. May 7th, Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, CT.  A reception will follow the service.  A private family entombment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.  A Memorial Service will be held in Colorado, Sat., May 28th, time and place to published at a later time.

Henry was born May 6, 1936 in Philadelphia to Henry Anthony Golomboski & Katherine O’Neill.  He graduated from Roxborough High School in Philadelphia, PA and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. 

Henry was a retired Captain for United Airlines based out of JFK in NY.

He was an avid runner, loved reading and politics.  He served in the United States Navy from 1955-1964.  He served on the OriskanyCV-34 flying F-8E Crusaders.

Survivors include his wife Sheryl Lawinski of Broomfield, CO, three sons: Henry (Carolyn) Lawinski of Ontario, CA, Christopher Lawinski of Hilo, HI, Michael (Erin) Lawinski of Louisville, CO, two daughters; Dawn Sullivan of Philadelphia, PA, Diane Hope of New Jersey, one sister Katherine O’Neill of PA. Six grandchildren: Brayden Lawinski of Louisville, CO, Diana Wolf of New Jersey, Ryan Sullivan of Kansas, Jennifer Hope of New Jersey, Victoria Hope of New Jersey, Gloria Hope of New Jersey.  One great-grandchild: Zoe Wolf of New Jersey.
